Ballet barre exercise in class

From P1 to S6

Core Programme

From P1, pupils graduate to our Core Programme covering Ballet, Tap and Modern, following internationally recognised syllabi.

What's included

Ballet

Pre-Primary and Primary keep an equal emphasis on creativity and technique. We follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi, with first assessments from the end of P2 / beginning of P3. From Grade 3, pupils should attend an extra ballet coaching class each week if sitting exams. Pointe may begin between 12 and 14, depending on teacher assessment.

Tap

An exciting, rhythmical theatrical form using metal plates on the toe and heel. Within Tap we follow the ISTD syllabus.

Modern

From P3, ISTD Modern is added: musical theatre, jazz and lyrical styles with travelling steps, kicks and turns that build flexibility and strength.
