About The Dance Connection
At The Dance Connection, we believe dance is about so much more than learning steps. From first steps to the stage, we're passionate about helping every child grow in confidence, develop new skills and discover what they're capable of.
With classes for children from 18 months to teenagers, there's something for every age and stage, whether your child wants to dance for fun, perform, take examinations or simply be part of an inspiring dance community.
For those who wish to take them, we offer internationally recognised Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet examinations, alongside ISTD and IDTA Tap and Modern examinations, giving dancers the opportunity to celebrate their progress and achieve personal goals.

Beyond the weekly class
From the studio to the stage
Optional exams and real performance opportunities help children celebrate progress and build lasting confidence.
Dance exams
Pupils can sit Royal Academy of Dance Ballet examinations, alongside ISTD and IDTA Tap and Modern examinations, up to vocational level. In our June 2025 session we achieved a 100% pass rate.
Performances and shows
Our annual school show is held at the MacRobert Arts Centre, with all pupils aged 3+ invited to take part. Stage & Song classes hold recitals at the Tolbooth Theatre. Performance pupils have also danced at community and charity events, Irn Bru Clan Can, and Sky 1's Got to Dance, where they were shortlisted after being awarded three gold stars.
